Hello! I am Irene Loal, an illustrator born in Murcia, Spain.

Here I graduated in Fine Arts and shortly after did a Postgraduate in Illustration for Children's and Youth Publications at the Eina school in Barcelona.

I work as a freelance illustrator for clients and companies around the world, creating illustrations in different media and products such as web pages, educational material, marketing or clothing.

But my passion is illustrating children's books. I have illustrated my first book,

"I Command in Me", cowritten with Sophia Almagro and published by Excellence Editorial. ( November, 2023)

I love creating nice atmospheres and characters, full of magic, tenderness and fantasy.

In illustration I found a way to express myself creatively through my "creatures", which are, in their own way, little alter ego of myself :)

¡Hola! Soy Irene Loal, una ilustradora nacida en Murcia. Aquí me licencié en Bellas Artes y poco después realicé el Postgrado en Ilustración para Publicaciones Infantiles y Juveniles en la escuela Eina de Barcelona. 

Trabajo como ilustradora freelance para clientes y empresas de todo el mundo, creando ilustraciones en diferentes medios y productos como páginas web, material educativo, marketing o ropa.

Pero mi pasión es ilustrar libros para niños. He ilustrado mi primer libro,

"Yo Mando en Mí", coescrito junto a Sophia Almagro y publicado por Excellence Editorial. (Noviembre, 2023) 

Me encanta crear atmósferas y personajes simpáticos, llenos de magia, ternura y fantasía.

En la ilustración encontré el modo de expresarme creativamente a través de mis "bichillos", que son, a su manera, pequeños alter ego de mí misma :)
